Breezes Jibacoa Resort Cuba had been on a lot of all travelers list this days.  Recent discovery is an isolated beach area. The Breezes Jibacoa is medium size resort, with 250 rooms, in two story blocks of 12 units, on the upper level, has a panoramic view of the sea. The Breezes Jibacoa, built on Jibacoa Beach by SuperClubs resorts chain in partnership with a Cuban company, opened in May 1999. Placed on eight landscaped hectares bordering the sea. The room are large, with natural wood furnishings, well equipped bathroom -oversized bathtub, hair dryer. The scrupulous daily cleaning sometimes has an added poetic touch: You will find the bath towels carefully folded origami style in the shape of two fan tailed swans. Cuba has never had a best reputation for cuisine, but the food at the Jibacoa is better than anybody expected in Cuba. Breakfasts are extravagant with a wide variety of dishes including cereals and yogurt, omelet's and tortillas prepared on tourist demand. Not surprisingly, there are a lot of fresh fruit at every meal papayas and guavas, grapefruits and mangoes and a seemingly endless supply of fresh fruit juices. Lunches and dinners, served buffet style, include several hot dishes, which are acceptable. Wine Cuban at lunch and Spanish at dinner is free flowing. A culinary highlight is the Lobster Night. The Cuban Lobster is very good I have tasted skillfully cooked and bathed in butter. Two other restaurants, a small one offering Cuban specialties and a larger more elegant Italian, are available by reservation only. Palms, cactuses, flowering bushes and plants flourish in the hotel grounds.  The Jibacoa arranges day tour of Havana or longer tour include an evening's entertainment at the Tropicana Night Club. Resort has large fresh water pool , water aerobics class, the well equipped gym and massage. You can take a spin on catamaran or sea kayaks and small sailboats. Golfing guests can hop a twice weekly shuttle for ride to Varadero golf club, free use of the course.  |
